Last week E Ink participated in CES 2013 in Las Vegas. While we didn’t exhibit at the show, we attended ShowStoppers, a press event on Tuesday night, and met with reporters throughout Wednesday to offer a sneak peak at some new technologies and products coming up in the future.
You can find a full listing of our press coverage on our website, but we wanted to share a few video articles from video blogger Charbax, who spent nearly an hour with our CMO, Sri Peruvemba.
YotaPhone:
Yota recently announced their new dual screen EPD / LCD smartphone, the YotaPhone, and they were on hand at CES showing it off. This working prototype received a lot of positive press attention and was nominated for the CNET CES Best of Show.

CST01:
On January 8, Central Standard Timing announced the release of the world’s thinnest watch, measuring in at .80mm thick. This innovative design was inspired by capabilities of E Ink segmented displays and leverages those features to re-imagine the wristwatch. Central Standard Timing is fundraising through Kickstarter and exceeded their initial project goal within the first 48 hours of the campaign.

Triton 2:
This year E Ink is releasing a new generation of our color EPD product, Triton. Triton 2 is featured in an updated version of Ectaco’s jetBook Color, and we were able to show it off during the ShowStoppers event. Color E Ink screens are not intended as LCD replacements for laptops or TVs, but instead are designed to enable a pop of color in eBooks and eTextbooks. The new Triton film offers more robust colors through materials improvements.
