Segmented Prototype Kits for SURF™ Displays

E Ink is offering two Dialog Semiconductor Segmented Developer's Kits, featuring fully optimized segmented driver ICs by Dialog Semiconductors, with an example E Ink Segmented Display. The kits offer a full hardware and software development environment to allow for fast prototyping, system design and device evaluation. The family of kits offered are 64, 96, or 192 segments, for a wide range of applications.

The Dialog kit can be controlled via a USB interface connected to a PC or directly to a microcontroller as part of a larger development environment. A range of interfaces are also available to allow connection to different display. Also provided is a comprehensive Windows based evaluation and development software environment. This allows a designer to import a bitmap display image to enable rapid development using a full graphical user interface.

The kit contains:

• Development board with supported driver;
• E Ink demo display;
• Clamp for attaching E Ink display;
• USB lead;
• Supported software (CD) including user guides and app notes from both Dialog and E Ink;
• E Ink demo display attachment app note.
