E INK WINS DIGIGLOBE AWARD FOR INNOVATION IN MULTIMEDIA
Recognized for Developments in the Field of Electronic Books and Paper
Cambridge, MA. - September 1, 1999 – E Ink Corporation, the leading developer and marketer of electronic ink technology, today received the prestigious DigiGlobe Award for its developments in the field of electronic books and paper. The award for Innovation in Multimedia was presented at the Berlin International Congress Center during Germany's International Consumer Electronics Fair.

The award was presented to E Ink by Deutsche Telekom's Communications Director Jurger Kindervater and Helmut Markwort, editor-in-chief and managing editor of FOCUS News Magazine. "By awarding the DigiGlobes, we want to spotlight the link between fantasy and technology, art and know-how, and show what multimedia technology could contribute to the coming century," said Kindervater and Markwort.
