Mr. Russell J. Wilcox
President & CEO
One of the co-founders of E Ink, Russ Wilcox leads the Company as President & CEO. Previously he played senior leadership roles in the company's sales and marketing, intellectual property, strategic alliance, finance and R&D functions. Wilcox was also active in corporate development efforts that raised financing for E Ink and secured world-class partnerships. In previous positions Wilcox launched new products related to speech recognition and Internet commerce for Boston-based technology companies. While at Corporate Decisions, Inc., Wilcox advised technology companies in the U.S. and Europe on business strategy, product marketing, consumer loyalty and financial valuation. Wilcox earned an honors degree in Applied Mathematics at Harvard University and received an MBA with highest honors from Harvard Business School. Wilcox was named a New England Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2009.
Dr. Paul G. Apen
Vice President, Business Development
Paul Apen leads the business development efforts for E Ink. Apen has over 15 years management experience in advanced materials industries including semiconductors, optical polymers, and energy-efficiency. Prior to joining E Ink, he was the Global Business Manager for Honeywell's Electronic Polymers business, which served the semiconductor, display, and solar cell markets. Apen also held several management positions in Honeywell's Electronic Materials business in product management and product development. Prior to that, he held senior management positions at Simula Inc., a manufacturer of safety systems and optical transparencies, and had program management responsibility for Civilian & Energy Materials Technology at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Apen has a B.A. in chemistry/economics from Colgate University and a Ph.D. in Organic Polymer Chemistry from University of Michigan.
Mr. F. Paul Broyer
Chief Financial Officer
Paul Broyer is the CFO at E Ink, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the Company. Broyer was most recently the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Candela, a publicly-traded laser manufacturer, where he led finance and administration for ten years during the company's turnaround and growth from $30 million to $150 million in sales. Earlier in his career, Broyer was Vice President of Finance at Integrated Genetics, an applied biotechnology firm, and held financial positions with Laserdata, Inc., a producer of document management and optical storage software, Avatar Technologies, a provider of high speed computer communications equipment, and Data General Corporation, a supplier of storage and enterprise computing solutions. Broyer earned a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA from Bentley College.
Mr. Ed Fisher
Vice President, Global Sales
Ed Fisher is responsible for Global Sales at E Ink. Fisher has over twenty years sales and marketing experience in the personal computer and semiconductor industries. Prior to joining E Ink, he held the position of Vice President, Worldwide Consumer Sales & Marketing at Advanced Micro Devices. Fisher also held positions of Senior Vice President of International Business Unit at Gateway, Inc. as well as President & Director of Gateway's subsidiaries in Japan, Europe and Latin America, responsible for expanding business and launching new businesses internationally. Fisher was also Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at eMachines, Inc., Director of U.S. Retail Sales and Marketing and held various sales, marketing and account management positions at Intel Corporation. Fisher earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of the Pacific and received a Masters of Management degree at Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Giuseppe (Joe) Forcucci
Vice President, Operations
Joe Forcucci is responsible for all operational and manufacturing activities at E Ink. Forcucci has over twenty years experience in the semiconductor business working in such areas as quality, product development and engineering. Prior to joining E Ink he held the positions of Director of Operations and Director of Quality for Fuji Film Electronic Materials and Director of North American Manufacturing for Arch Chemicals. His extensive experience in manufacturing and quality has included work in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. Previous to his positions at Fuji Film, Forcucci worked with Rodel Inc., a supplier of polishing pads and slurries for CMP, as Vice President of Manufacturing, and Director of Manufacturing and Worldwide Director of Quality, at Shipley Co. where he was responsible for the manufacturing and quality systems for photoresist and plating chemicals. Forcucci holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Boston College.
Dr. Michael D. McCreary
Vice President, Research and Advanced Development
Michael McCreary is responsible for creating a portfolio of advanced technologies that will enable new generations of novel display products.
McCreary is a 32-year veteran of the imaging industry and held a number of leadership positions with Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) prior to joining E Ink, including serving as the General Manager of the Company's Microelectronics Technology Division. In that role, McCreary had responsibility for Kodak's solid-state imager business, including research and development, engineering, manufacturing, business development, marketing and sales. In addition to his E Ink responsibilities, McCreary currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the US Display Consortium, and the Arizona State University led Flexible Display Center. McCreary earned a B.S. with honors in Chemistry from Principia College and a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has also attended executive business programs with the University of California, Berkeley and The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
Mr. Sriram K. Peruvemba
Vice President, Marketing
Sriram Peruvemba heads up the marketing function at E Ink. Peruvemba brings a wealth of marketing experience in the field of electronic displays. Most recently, Peruvemba was Associate Director of Display Products at Sharp, responsible for marketing their LCD products in the Industrial, Medical, Signage and TV markets. Peruvemba's prior assignments include General Manager for TFS Inc., Marketing Director at Planar Systems and Vice President for Suntronic Technology Corporation. Peruvemba holds a BSEE from the RV College of Engineering at Bangalore University, India, and an MBA from the Barton School of Business at WSU, Kansas.
Dr. Susan A. Visser
Vice President, Product Development
Susan Visser is responsible for all product development activities at E Ink, including working with development partners and customers to bring successful products to market. Visser brings over 15 years of direct technical and product development leadership experience from the Eastman Kodak Company to E Ink. She has eight years of hands-on R&D experience in materials science, where she worked on technologies of close relevance to E Ink's systems and obtained 27 patents worldwide. After promotion to Director, she moved into product commercialization leadership roles in Kodak's Health Group, driving release of products that generated over $100 million in new revenue. Additionally, she served as Chief Technologist for Kodak's New Ventures unit, moving 9 different technologies out of the labs and into operating units. Visser holds B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering and in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She also holds a M.B.A. from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester.

Mr. J.D. Albert
Technical Advisor (co-founder)
J.D. Albert is a co-founder of E Ink and currently serves as a Technical Advisor. He pioneered the methods used to make E Ink displays and was the lead design engineer behind the company's large-area products and segmented displays. He currently works on development projects in the areas of flexible displays, color and manufacturing. He has over 30 issued US Patents and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
Mr. Barrett Comiskey
Executive Advisor (co-founder)
Barrett Comiskey is a co-founder of E Ink and presently serves as an Executive Advisor. After pioneering the original research at the MIT Media Lab, he led the development and transfer to manufacturing of E Ink's first and second generation electronic inks, and was responsible for intellectual property and analytical technology. He then moved to the business side and structured alliances with Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese multi-billion dollar electronics companies throughout the display value chain. He has taught in Harlem and the Bronx, and spent a year managing an English School in Taipei. He speaks French, Spanish and is studying Mandarin, and has over 24 issued US Patents. Comiskey has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal Marketplace, Wired, Fortune, and others, and has recently been selected by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer for 2002. He holds a BS in Mathematics from MIT.
Dr. Joseph Jacobson
Assistant Professor, MIT Media Lab (co-founder and director)
Assistant Professor, MIT Media Lab
Joseph Jacobson is an Assistant Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Laboratory, where he initiated a program to develop electronic paper-books with pages consisting of electronically addressable, rewritable displays formed on real paper. The project falls within his larger research direction of the Micromedia Group, which embeds highly useful and unexpected capabilities in everyday things (such as paper, eye-glasses, fabrics, or paints) through micromechanical systems fabrication. He holds several patents and patents pending in electronic display technology.
Jacobson received his Ph.D. in physics at MIT in 1992 in femtosecond laser engineering. He created the world's shortest pulse laser (in optical cycles) in 1991. He was a post-doctoral fellow at Stanford from 1992 to 1995, working on experimental and theoretical nonlinear non-local quantum systems. His theoretical work, published in the Physical Review, has been written up in the New York Times and Physics Today.
Mr. Jerome S. Rubin
Founder Lexis/Nexis (Chairman Emeritus)
A co-founder of E Ink, Jerry Rubin was first exposed to electronic ink while serving as Chairman of the M.I.T. Media Lab's research initiative, News in the Future. He joined M.I.T. in December 1992 after retiring from the Times Mirror Company, where he was Chairman of the Professional Information and Book Publishing Group, a billion-dollar group which included legal, scientific, technical, medical and university-textbook publishing companies as well as professional training companies. Under his leadership the group grew substantially in sales and even more in profits. During his tenure at Times Mirror, Rubin was elected Chairman of the Association of American Publishers.
Before joining Times Mirror in 1983, Rubin developed and brought to commercial success LEXIS, the computer-assisted legal research service (launched in 1973), and NEXIS, the on-line news research service (launched in 1978). Combined, these constitute the world's largest on-line textual information service. In 1985 The Information Industry Association inducted Rubin into its Hall of Fame for his pioneering achievements in electronic publishing. In December 1999 Rubin was recognized as one of only 33 Lawyers of the Century by American Lawyer Magazine.
